  Cernilton (Flower Pollen)

The flower pollen extract known as cernilton has been used to treat prostatitis and BPH in Europe for more than twenty-five years. It has been shown to be quite effective in several double-blind clinical studies in the treatment of prostatitis due to inflammation or infection. The extract has been shown to exert some anti-inflammatory action and produce a contractile effect on the bladder while simultaneously relaxing the urethra. Cernilton and similar products are available in health-food stores. They are perhaps better suited for prostatitis than BPH. The standard dosage for cernilton or similar products is 2 - 500mg tablets TID.
